Our Services
One to One Befriending
We recruit, train and support volunteers to become befrienders, offering friendship and company to care home residents who have few or no family or friends to visit.
Our volunteers receive an induction at our ‘Welcome Days’ and ongoing support and training as required.
Volunteers are matched with care home residents according to their background and interests.
Friends for Life encourages befrienders, care home staff and volunteers to work together to arrange suitable times for visits to take place.
Outreach Service
We are expanding our offer through our Outreach Service. Our aim is to encourage and build connections between local care homes in Bedford and schools and colleges, individuals and community groups, and businesses, to provide group wellbeing activities to care home residents.
